1. Your agreement with PaisaCopilot
These Terms govern your use of PaisaCopilot's app, website and related services, provided by PAISACOPILOT PRIVATE LIMITED ("PaisaCopilot", "we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter this agreement, and permitted to use the service under applicable law. An app-store content rating does not change this minimum account age. You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. Availability and purchase options may vary.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Accepting these Terms is not a substitute for a separate privacy permission that we are required to obtain.
2. What PaisaCopilot does
PaisaCopilot helps you organise personal and household financial information. It can extract information from documents, record income and expenses, organise bills and imported statements, answer questions about your records and provide reminders and summaries.
PaisaCopilot is not a bank, payment service, investment adviser, tax adviser or accounting professional. Its information is for organisation and general informational purposes, not professional financial, investment, legal or tax advice. It does not hold your money, provide credit or execute bank transfers.
Marking a bill as paid records a payment; it does not pay the bill. You remain responsible for making payments through the appropriate provider and checking their completion.
AI and automated processing can produce incorrect or incomplete results. Review extracted amounts, account details, balances, categories, due dates and answers against the original records before relying on them. Reminder delivery can be delayed or fail. Keep original documents and independently track important payment and filing deadlines.
3. Accounts and household responsibilities
Keep your sign-in credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Each household member should use their own account. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account; these Terms do not make you responsible for a security failure caused by us in circumstances where the law says otherwise.
Household administrators can see financial records members add or import, including relevant source documents. Ordinary members have access to their own records under the permissions available in the app. Invitations and role changes should be made only with appropriate authority and the affected person's knowledge.
An administrator's removal of a member deletes that member's PaisaCopilot account and associated data. The household owner's deletion of their account deletes all accounts and data in the household. Consider these consequences before joining, administering or deleting a household.
Only the designated household owner can initiate household subscription purchases in PaisaCopilot. The current service does not support transferring the owner role for an existing household. Other members cannot automatically take over that owner's subscription or billing authority.
4. Your content
You retain your rights in the documents, messages and other content you submit. You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, transmit and process that content, including through the service providers identified in the Privacy Policy, to operate the features you use, maintain and secure the service, and meet legal obligations. This permission continues only for those purposes and for the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit information about other people. Do not upload content that unlawfully infringes privacy, confidentiality or intellectual-property rights. We do not obtain a general right to sell your financial documents or use them to train general-purpose AI models.
AI output may be inaccurate or similar to output produced for others. We do not guarantee that it is unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use PaisaCopilot for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or deceptive activity.
- Access another person's account or information without authority, or misrepresent your identity or household permissions.
- Upload malicious software, attack the service, or interfere with its security or operation.
- Circumvent subscriptions, usage limits, access controls or safeguards, including by repeatedly creating accounts to evade limits.
- Copy, resell or exploit our software or branding without permission, except as applicable law allows.
Nothing in this section restricts a right that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.
6. Free access and subscriptions
PaisaCopilot offers Free access with limits and may offer paid plans through Apple's App Store. Free access is an ongoing plan, not a time-limited trial. The purchase screen shows the applicable price, billing period, features and limits before you subscribe. Current paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically through Apple unless cancelled.
Apple charges your Apple Account under the terms shown at purchase. To avoid another charge, cancel before your renewal date in accordance with the timing shown by Apple. Apple may begin charging for renewal up to 24 hours before a new period starts. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Apple's subscription settings. See Apple's cancellation instructions and the Apple Media Services Terms.
Cancellation ordinarily leaves access available until the end of the verified paid period. Plan changes, refunds, billing grace periods and their timing follow Apple's applicable rules and the entitlement verified for your account. Refund requests for App Store purchases should be made through Apple; see Apple's refund instructions. Nothing in these Terms removes a mandatory refund or consumer right.
Household plans share their available seats and AI allowance across the household. PaisaCopilot household access is separate from Apple's Family Sharing feature. A monthly subscription's AI allowance may reset on a different schedule, as shown in the app.
An AI interaction is a successfully processed standalone message or attachment, including any accompanying text. A batch can use one interaction for each successfully processed attachment. Processing can count even when it uses a deterministic action or finds no supported financial information. Rejected or terminally failed processing does not consume a completed interaction. Other plan and file limits are shown in the app; paid access does not promise unlimited AI usage or storage.
Changing to Free does not currently cause automatic deletion of your financial history. Usage or membership limits may restrict new activity until your household is within the applicable plan limits.
Deleting the app or your PaisaCopilot account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel with Apple separately if you want renewal to stop. Restore Purchases can recover eligible subscription access, but it does not restore deleted financial records, accounts or household memberships.
7. Privacy and third-party services
AI features use OpenRouter and OpenAI to process relevant content as explained in the Privacy Policy. Other providers support authentication, hosting, subscription verification, email, notifications and diagnostics. Their availability can affect the service.
Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the licence to the iOS application unless a different applicable licence is supplied through the App Store. These Terms supplement the applicable App Store licence and address the PaisaCopilot service. Apple is not the provider of that service. These Terms do not reduce any rights you have under that licence or Apple's applicable purchase terms, or your mandatory legal rights.
8. Changes, suspension and termination
We may maintain, improve or change the service. Where a change materially reduces an existing paid service, we will provide appropriate advance notice and honour applicable subscription and consumer rights. Any price change will follow Apple's applicable notice and consent procedures.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these Terms, security risk, fraud, unlawful activity or legal requirement. Where reasonable and permitted, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve it. Urgent security or legal circumstances may require immediate action. You can contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken.
You can stop using PaisaCopilot or request account deletion through Settings. Deletion has the household-wide consequences described above when requested by the household owner. Certain limited billing, security and legally required records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy.
If we discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and explain available ways to preserve records and any applicable refund rights. We will not silently delete existing financial history merely because a paid plan expires or a household is on Free.
9. Warranties and responsibility
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill, subject to your mandatory legal rights. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. In particular, AI output, categorisation and reminders are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms, or for indirect or consequential losses. This does not exclude a foreseeable direct loss merely because it involves money, financial information or lost data.
To the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to the exceptions below, PaisaCopilot’s total aggregate liability for monetary damages on claims governed by these Terms in any single civil action or consumer proceeding will not exceed INR 10,000 (ten thousand Indian rupees), collectively across all claimants in that proceeding. This is a limit for the proceeding as a whole, regardless of the number of claims or claimants. An appeal, retrial or transfer of that proceeding does not create an additional limit.
No exclusion or limit applies to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit. These Terms do not limit your mandatory consumer or privacy rights, your right to seek an injunction where available, or a regulator's powers.
10. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. This choice does not deprive you of protections or remedies that cannot be waived under laws applicable where you live, including applicable U.S. federal or state consumer laws.
Subject to the mandatory rights described below, courts of competent jurisdiction in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India have exclusive jurisdiction over contractual disputes arising from these Terms. This agreement does not give a court jurisdiction that it would not otherwise have under applicable law.
Nothing in this clause restricts a mandatory consumer forum or a non-waivable right to bring a claim, seek a remedy or make a complaint before another competent court, consumer commission, tribunal or regulator. This includes a forum where you live when applicable law provides that right.
Please first contact help@paisacopilot.com so we can try to resolve a concern. Contacting support is not a condition that prevents you from exercising a statutory complaint or court right, and it does not suspend a legal filing deadline.
11. Updates and general terms
We may update these Terms and will identify the effective date. We will give appropriate notice of material changes and seek agreement where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights that have already arisen. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the service and cancel any subscription through Apple; applicable refund and consumer rights continue to apply.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent the law permits. A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive it. We may transfer this agreement in connection with a lawful business transfer, provided doing so does not reduce your mandatory rights. We will provide notice where required.
